~ Our Trip Home ~

All I can say is wow... time flies when you're having fun!  It was so wonderful to get home for a bit and see family & friends ~ although,  we never have enough time and don't get to see everyone we'd like to!  I wish we could just slow down the time during vacation week and have the time to visit with everyone... family and friends alike!  

Julie & Steve put us up this year in their beautiful guest suite ~ which means we woke to beautiful Alpine views and the sounds of their wonderful family!  I love spending time with Julie's family ~ the kids are so sweet and genuine and make us feel so loved.... Julie & Steve are such perfect hosts and we thank them for sharing their beautiful home with us =)

One night we got together with friends from Orem High ~ that was fun for Craig, since he hasn't seen these people for 25+ years.  I met some new people as well and everyone had a great time.  We're planning on throwing our own "Friends BBQ" next year so we can invite all our friends ~ that way we can hopefully see all our friends!! 

On our Anniversary, we got together with the family (Renstrom & Gallagher) for a BBQ ~ it was great to get everyone in one place and get reacquainted with both sides of the family.  We got to see the grandkids, including Cory's 3 girls, and Chad & Magan were able to surprise us as well.  A few people were missing in action, but all in all, we had a great evening with family.

We spent a day in the canyon with Chad & Magan, driving over the Alipine Loop, into Midway and Park City.  It was much more green this year than last, but we did see some changing leaves.  Chad & Magan were happy with the green, since they don't see much of that in Las Vegas =)  We stopped by our favorite little coffee house in Midway, and got Chad & Magan to pose for a picture!  =) 

It was a beautiful day and we finished it off by going to the Playhouse to see Tyler, Tia, Nikki & Little Keith in the play.  It was fun to watch them in Jake's Corner - they all did a great job!

The next day we spent with Julie & Steve on their boat on Utah Lake!  It was a perfect day for being out on the water.  We did a little skiing, wake boarding, and just goofing off.  I got some great pictures of Julie, Steve, and Craig out on the water.  Someday we're gonna have a boat =)

We spent that evening with Kovi & Jodi and their beautiful family, as well as Kylee, Baylee, & Sydnee.  It was so great to have the grandkids together and spend time with all those beautiful and amazing kids.  It's so hard to be away from them and we'd love nothing more than to live closer, where we could just swoop in and carry them away with us for a day or a weekend!  We really want to get closer to home to spend more time with our parents, our siblings, and especially our kids and grandkids!!!

Before we knew it, it was time to pack up and head into Vegas ~ to spend some time with Chad & Magan, as well as celebrate our 1st Anniversary!  We spend the afternoon with Craig's Dad before flying out.  It was nice to see them together and reminisce about the old days =)  

I'll write about our trip to Vegas tomorrow and post a few pictures.  We had a FANTASTIC time in both Utah & Las Vegas and we're looking forward to getting back another visit and hope to spend more time with everyone!
